24 Week Appointment

Yesterday I had an appointment with my doctor. I measured 31 weeks (I am only 24-25) which is about what you should measure with twins. He did a routine ultrasound to check for heartbeats and to check the level of amniotic fluid in each sac. Both were great. Right now both of the babies are breach. I guess they still can move quite a bit, but by 32 weeks they usually settle into the position that they are going to stay in. At that point he said I may have an appointment scheduled for a c-section if one or both of them are breach. At 32 weeks (mid-November) I will also have to come in weekly for a non-stress test. I never had to have a non-stress test with either of my other babies, but I guess it is just hooking each baby up to a monitor and checking their movements and vitals.

For now I am suppose to rest several times a day and not push myself. I am hoping to join my family on a trip to California in October. Dr. Froerer said that we will take the "wait and see approach". He will check me the week before I go and make sure that I haven't dilated at all and I will have an ultrasound with the specialist to make sure that everything is okay with the babies. All of this will take place in 3 weeks. So...more updates to come. I will post pictures of the kids later. I have some cute pics from Jackson's soccer games and from school.
