Birthday parties and ear infections...

Sophie at the doctors office, again!

Sam on the way to his party!

That pretty much sums up the month of February. A little bit of fun, but mostly sickness. Jacks b-day was in February and we celebrated with his cousins, one actually shares his birthday, Preston. This year is a year to celebrate birthdays with family, next year we will resume friend parties. It is so nice. Sam went to a birthday party today and was able to dress as a super hero, Mr. Incredible. I love our collection of Disney super hero costumes. They get so much use.
On another note, Sophie has had a recurring ear infection over the past couple of months and has to go to the ENT tomorrow. Even Rocephin shots didn't do the trick. She is now on a long course of Omnicef and I am hoping we can fix the problem. My kids usually grow out of ear infections by the time they are 2. Sam had to have tubes, but never got an infection after that. He was 20 months. Sophie is only 14 months, so I am hesitant to want to put tubes in her ears, but we may have to. She also had a little wheezing in her chest last week and it was quite a weekend. She had a small albuteral treatment and was great after that. Though the whole time her oxygen was 98 which is good. Kate had a similar cough and her oxygen was 99. Needless to say, we can't wait for summer. I am glad we made it through January and February. They are our least favorite months of the year.

Sick kids are the hardest part of being a mom! I had so much fun at dinner the other night. When the weather warms up let's meet at a park and catch up some more!

I hate dealing with ear infections because you always feel so bad for the little ones. The Birthday parties sure looked like fun though.

The kids are getting so big! I hope everyone is feeling better now. Izzie has had a little cold the past few days and it's miserable...
