I can remember each of my kids first visits to the dentist. None have gone over great. The dentist usually only gets a look at their teeth rather than trying to clean them. We break them in slowly. Sophie and Kate were no exception. Yesterday was their first dental check-up. They were happy to see Aunt Allyson, but not to see doctors masks and that big exam chair. Way to much like their other doctors office where they frequent during the winter months. So, we ended up with both girls on my lap and then Sophie went out to watch a movie with Sam while Kate had her check-up. She returned in tears as Doctor Frank looked at her teeth. It was a quick exam and then they were off to the treasure box where they picked a prize. They also came away with new princess toothbrushes. Hopefully they will return in 6 months remembering the positive parts of their first visit.
