Sam has waited a LONG time for this day. Wow, we never thought it would come. Last year seemed too soon and this year seems too late. However, Sam has seemed to gain a lot of confidence in himself over this last year. He is starting to learn at a very rapid pace. It seems like no matter how hard we pushed, he just wanted to do certain things at his own pace. He is such a cute and smart boy, I am confident that it all will come. He has just loved the first days of school. Being the social boy that he is, his favorite part is the bus ride home with his friends. I think that both of my boys have gained some independence in riding the bus to and from school. I have had to make sure that they know their phone number and my cell number even before kindergarten. Sam is very excited to have Jackson's old Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Graham. She, I am sure, will be surprised at how different my boys are. They learn in completely different ways and are pretty opposite when it comes to socializing and playing. It is fun to have such a diverse group of kids in our house. I have to say, Sam has thrown me for a loop when it comes to reading. I thought that I had mastered parenting with Jack and would be great with Sam and then he grew up needing completely different things. I guess we are all constantly learning.
